Bardot Tops

Bardot Tops (off the shoulder) are my wardrobe staple at the moment. They are so versatile, feminine and delicate. I don’t know what I was wearing before they came around but its definitely a trend I will continue to wear, even when the fashion world moves on. To me the Bardot top is a classic piece that defies the on trend fashion pages and makes it’s own mark.

The Bardot top goes way back to the Victorian era. Off the shoulder dresses paired with stunning jewellery and polished hair styles. These ladies paved the way. Next up was Brigitte Bardot who made it the ‘IT’ item in the 60’s. Fast forward to 2017 and the Bardot neckline has come along again. Proving that this a timeless style that influences runways, high streets and our shopping choices.

So thank you to the ladies who waved the flag for this fashion trend because I really don’t know what I would be wearing!

I’ve put together my favourite Bardot Tops and styled them exactly how I wear them. There is also a video ❀ below where you can see them on and get a feel for the fit and fabric movement.
